The Plain-English Version
Abraham Otieno is a Nairobi-based operator who runs executive operations for founders and CEOs — as an Executive Assistant, Chief of Staff, or Operations Partner, depending on what the company needs. The Story
I didn't start as an "assistant." I started inside operations — onboarding and training agents on BPO floors in Nairobi, where reliability isn't a value statement, it's a contractual SLA with penalties. That environment teaches you the two skills this work actually runs on: building systems that hold under volume, and communicating status so clearly that nobody has to ask.
From there the work widened: coordinating a fintech's market expansion out of Stockholm, running stakeholder communication between a CEO and program partners at an international NGO, managing a service transition for a BPO chief executive, coordinating partnerships across African markets. Somewhere along the way I noticed the pattern: every founder I worked with needed the same three things — their time back, an execution rhythm, and systems that don't depend on heroics. Different job titles, same job.
That's why this site lists eleven role names. Companies search for the title their org chart uses. The work underneath is one craft.
How I Work
Three principles, visible in every engagement. Visibility: every commitment tracked, every owner named — dashboards replace inbox archaeology. Discipline: SLAs on response time, decisions logged, prep delivered 24 hours ahead. Async-first: documented processes and decision-ready summaries built for multi-time-zone teams. The full methodology is on the services page; the receipts are in the case studies and portfolio.
